Position overview

SWCF is seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Officer to lead the Foundation into its next phase of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board, the Executive Officer will oversee the delivery of SWCF’s strategic plan and will have overall responsibility for the Foundation’s operations, including:

  • Leading the implementation of the Foundation’s strategy, strengthening community philanthropy, and developing the regional affiliate fund model.
  • Managing governance, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, financial oversight, and program delivery.
  • Representing SWCF in the wider community, fostering relationships with philanthropic partners, community leaders, and regional networks.
  • Driving innovative initiatives that strengthen social, economic, and environmental outcomes across South West Victoria.

About the successful candidate

The ideal candidate will be a visionary, collaborative leader with:

  • Strong strategic insight and leadership skills, with the ability to translate strategy into action.
  • Proven experience in philanthropy, regional development, and community-focused initiatives.
  • Expertise in governance, financial management, and program delivery within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and community development.

Experience in growing community philanthropy, managing partnerships, and expanding program reach and impact will be highly valued.
