About the Organisation
The South West Community Foundation (SWCF) was created by the people of South West Victoria, for the people of South West Victoria. Established in 2007 as an independent philanthropic organisation and company limited by guarantee, SWCF works across the six municipal council areas of Colac Otway, Corangamite, Moyne, Warrnambool, Southern Grampians, and Glenelg.
Our Purpose (why we exist)
Our overarching goal is to celebrate, support, and strengthen the community of South West Victoria.
Our Vision (what we want to achieve)
We aim to build a strong, caring, and connected South West, reflected in a culture of giving, where people actively contribute to and support the Region and their local communities.
Our Mission (how we seek to do that)
We achieve this by making it easy for people to give and by helping to support groups, organisations, and initiatives that strengthen the Region and its communities.
Over the past three years, SWCF’s strategic priorities have focused on growing the Foundation, increasing regional and community impact, and building sustainability, capacity, and profile. Moving forward, these priorities remain central, with an emphasis on empowering regional communities to respond to local needs and invest in their own goals. Community philanthropy and local engagement continue to be at the heart of our work.
